Bidding!

Hi Youth Alivers!

By now most of you should know your bidding results. For those who bidded fast enough, you should have gotten your top 2 choices. Members from the committee will contact your respective contact persons by the coming sunday(18th July09) to find out more about your proposal.

From now until 9th of August:
-the committee will contact you to aid you to plan your proposal
-after the go-ahead from the committee, go ahead to source for your logistics
-further discuss ideas to aid your stall

General

What is Youth Anniversary 18?
It is the celebration of Youth Alive's 18th birthday!

What will we be doing for Youth Anni this year?
In order to get everyone more involved, we will be having a carnival where all the cell groups have to set up a stall! There will be small games stalls, food and drink stalls and extreme game stalls, all manned by our Youth Alivers! On top of that, there'll be a stage where exciting games, competitions, shows, bands and many more await you!

What does this mean for me as a Youth Aliver?
This means that a) you need to get together with your cell group to start planning your games/food/drink stalls b) you need to start INVITING YOUR FRIENDS!

What does this mean for me as a guest?
This means that you get to experience, first-hand, the fun, exciting, creative and passionate culture in Youth Alive! So don't hesitate - come join us!

So where and when will Youth Anni 18 be held?
Youth Anni will be held at MARINA BARRAGE on the 22nd of August from 1330 hrs to 1800 hrs!



Bidding

How does the bidding system work?
Once you've discussed with your cell group what kind of stall you want to set up, you need to send an email to us (refer to the top). We will then allocate you the stalls according the the availability of places left.

Will I get a reply if I am successful/unsuccessful in my bid?
Yes, you will get a reply from us 1 to 2 days after you have sent your email, whether you are successful or not.

Stalls

To all!

The types of booths are as follows: (6 categories, sales stalls not open to YA cell groups)

When you bid, bid for the category of stalls(excluding sales stalls) and indicate what exactly you intend to do.

We would not limit your stall as long as it belongs to a certain category. For example, if you want to have a chai tao kway stall but its not in the list above. Fret not, just bid for a food and drinks stall position and indicate that u wanna sell chai tao kway.

Bidding will start on 12th July 2009(Sun), 9pm sharp and will end on 17th July 2009(Fri), Midnight. More instructions will be given on the bidding system. Cell groups that did not bid in time will be automatically assigned a task by the committee.

Youth Anni Details

Hi all!

We are going to have a very spectacular Youth Anniversary this year. For once, Youth Anniversary will go beyond Youth Alive, go beyond games, beyond ourselves, to think about people who need our help. We will be having a carnival to raise funds for BCS Pocket Money Fund. The proceeds will go to the needy children under BCS and will help to give them pocket money to eat and buy stationary in school.
This carnival will also be a good chance for us to reach out to our friends. We want to use this as a channel to continue to invite our friends back to Youth Alive. During the carnival, we will also have performances and roaming magic shows to highlight the importance of Christ in our lives. We will not be able to share with them directly on stage, but we believe, through our testimony, it will open a way for non-believers to enter Youth Alive. This is our opportunity to glorify God through our actions.
Last but not least, it will also be an exciting time as each cell group will be in charge of either a stall or a task force. We will post another post regarding the types of stalls and the task forces the cell groups can undertake.

It will be FUN! EXCITING! a chance to reach out to our friends, and also to do something for our community.
